PURCELL, Muriel Marie - 69, Mulgrave, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, surrounded by her family. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Marie Rose (DeCoste) Levangie. Muriel was a retired employee of the Skye Motel in Port Hastings. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish and CWL, Mulgrave, the Ladies Auxiliary of Royal Canadian Legion, Cambria Branch 37, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mulgrave Fire Department. She enjoyed her friends and bingo. She is survived by her husband, Collie; daughters, Bernita, Halifax; Sherry (Jim) Peeples, Kitchener, Ont.; sons, Jim (Lisa), Windham, Me.; Steve (Earlene), Oakville, Ont.; Colin Jr. (Leona), Manchester; Blaise (Debi), Waterloo, Ont.; sisters, Shirley (Leonard) Hawco, Stewiacke; Beverley (John) Ryan, Regina, Sask.; brother, Harold (Ann), Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kerri, Daniel, Eric, Michael, Nelson, Miranda, Ryan, Emily, Jenna, Sarah, Andrew; great-granddaughter, Ann Marie; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Father Bernie MacAdam officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Mulgrave and Area Resting Place or a charity of choice.
