OSMOND, Otto C. - 65, Marble Mountain, passed away at home Friday afternoon, December 9, 2005, in the company of his long-time companion, Michealette Barrington. Born in Jackson's Cove, NL, Otto was predeceased by his parents, Ivy (Pynn) (Osmond) England and Sandy Osmond, and nephew, Cory Osmond. Otto was a retired carpenter. He is survived by his long-time partner, Michealette Barrington, Marble Mountain; sister, Gail Osmond, Deer Lake, NL; brother, Wayne (Rose), Pouce Coupe, B.C., and nephews, Jeffery, Christopher, and Jason; as well as stepdaughters, Frances (Norman) Oram, Hay Cove; Michealette MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury, and stepgrandsons, John and Matthew, Port Hawkesbury. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 16, at 1 p.m. in St. Matthew's United Church, Marble Mountain, Rev. Janet Blois officiating, private interment at a later date. A reception to follow at Marble Mountain Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Otto may be made to the L'Arche Cape Breton Workshop Fund. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
