Malcolm, Francis Clifford - 79, Lower River Inhabitants, which occurred Wednesday, July 21, 2010, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Port Malcolm, Richmond Co., he was a son of the late Joseph and Minnie (Meunier) Malcolm. Francis was a retired employee of the Department of Lands and Forest’s, St. Peter’s. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Lower River Inhabitants. Surviving are nieces, Linda Maxwell, Janet Stupica, Deborah Balaz, Sheri Pringle, all of Ontario; Kim Chipman and Tracey Boutilier, both of Dartmouth; nephews, Butch, Rick, and Gary Malcolm, all of Ontario; Rodney Malcolm, Dartmouth; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Predeceased by brothers Ernie, Leslie and stepbrother, Gordon. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass to be held 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Father Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch or charity of ones choice. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at: www.haverstocks.com.
