MacCOLL, Josephine, - passed away suddenly at her home in Port Hawkesbury on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Born in Kingsville, Inverness Co., she was a daughter of the late Earl and Mildred (Jordan) MacColl.
Josephine had worked for the Town of Port Hawkesbury, Canadian Coast Guard and Stora Enso. She loved the Cape Breton Culture, Celtic Colors, Fiddle Music and Square Dancing. She was predeceased by brothers, John and William "Billy". She is survived by sister, Jean (Bill) Stevens, Loon Lake, Hopewell; 3 nephews and 1 niece and their families.
Her remains have been cremated. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Cameron Cemetery, Kingsville/Princeville, on West Bay Road with Rev. Richard Bowley officiating. A reception will follow at the home of her neice Johanna MacColl MacMannus. Donations may be made to the Princeville United Church or to the Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements for Josephine are under the care and direction of the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
