MUNROE, Raymond Joseph – 90, Little Dover, Guysborough Co. passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012, in Canso. Born in Little Dover, he was a son of the late George and Mary Martella (Murphy) Munroe. Raymond was a retired fisherman. He was a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover. He was also a member of the Shamrock Senior's Club, Canso. Surviving are his children, Eldon (Loretta), Little Dover; Margie (Ronnie) Horne, Canso; Merle (Anne Marie), Fox Island; Mike, Alberta; Dave, Oxford; Paul, Little Dover; Cliff (Roberta), Antigonish; Dale (Shelly), North Sydney; 16 grandchildren, 10 great grand-children. Raymond was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Mary Kathleen; daughter, Paulette Richardson; a son in infancy; brothers, Andrew and Allen; sister, Catherine. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral Mass will be 11a.m. Friday, May 25 from St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, with Father Bill Crispo officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
