MUNROE, Agatha Bertha – 82, Little Dover, Guysborough Co. The death of Agatha Bertha Munroe occurred on Monday, April 15, 2013, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. She was surrounded by her family. Born in Little Dover on March 31, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Alvina (Boudreau) Haines. Bertha loved to play bingo and was always ready for a game of rummoli, or any kind of cards. She loved her family who were always around. She lost her husband at a young age and brought up most of her children on her own. She never complained and always made do with what she had. She is survived by her children, Hilda (Roger George), Whitehead; Mervin (Arlene), Little Dover; Marjorie (Eugene O’Leary), Whitehead; Bruce (Betty Ann), Chess (Crystal), Floyd (Leisa), Curtis (Elaine), all of Canso; Harvey (Velda), Eastern Passage; Mark (Karen), Coxheath; grandchildren, Shawn (Shirley), Brad (Sara), Alicia (Mike), Angela, Jodi (Greg), Melissa (Will), Samantha, Roxanne, Jamie, Nicole, Brianna, Brooklyn, Krissy (Tim), Alissa, Jamie (Sara), Miley, Thomas, Cathy and Darlene; great-grandchildren, Riley, Rebecca, Aden, James, Michael, Cheyenne and Noah. She is survived by sisters, Celene (Arnold Dort), Queensport; Marjorie (Bruce Morgan), Riverview NB; brothers, Frank (Marilyn), Little Dover and Clayton (Wannie), Canso; sister-in-law, Anne Haines, Lunenburg. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur in 1976; brothers, Philip, Emmette, Maurice, Larry and Harvey; sister, Irene; brothers-in-law, Wayne Rhynold and Ivan Zivonac; sister-in-law, Laura Haines. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Reception to follow in St. Agnes Parish Hall, Little Dover. Donations may be made to the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough.
