MALCOLM, George Edward "Geordie" – 83, Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home and formerly of Port Malcolm, Richmond Co., passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014, in the nursing home. Born in Port Malcolm, he was a son of the late George Wilfred and Grace Esther (Langley) Malcolm. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Lower River Inhabitants.
Surviving are brothers, Roy and Henry (Mare), both of Lower River Inhabitants; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Marion Lynch; brother, Everett Tom.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Monday from St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Lower River Inhabitants with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales Cemetery fund. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
