MURRAY, James Douglas "Dougie" – 76, Mulgrave, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 22, 2014, in the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Mulgrave, he was a son of the late James Leo and Eliza Jane (Jellow) Murray. Dougie was a lobster fisherman for many years as well as a Stevedore for many years. Surviving are his daughters, Rose (Jerome) Meagher, Veronica Murray, both of Mulgrave; Amy Murray, Fort McMurray; sons, Donald, Stellarton; Dougie (Mary), Antigonish; sisters, Irene O’Brien, Riverview, NB; Diane (Fred) Sullivan, Whitehorse, Yukon; Cheryl Murray, Markham, Ont; brothers, Robert "Bobby" Murray, Manitoba; John Murray, Port Hawkesbury; 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Jamie Murray; brother, Bryant "Cookie". Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Saturday in the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. There will be no funeral service. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Lawrence Parish Cemetery, Mulgrave. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society or to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
