MacLean, Florence Dolena "Moody", - August 25, 1929 - August 21, 2014, Orangedale.
We regret to announce the passing of our beloved Aunt Florence Dolena MacLean in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Malagawatch, she was a daughter of the late Laughlan James and Annie Bessie (Campbell) Moody. Florence drove the school bus for twenty-five years for the Inverness District School Board. She enjoyed her job, playing cards, bingo and Sean’s cooking.
Florence is survived by her nieces and nephews, Shirley Baldasaro, Somerville, Mass.; Betty (Hughie) MacNeil, Estmere; Ivadelle, Orangedale; James MacNeil, Red Point; Dwayne (Lois) MacLean, Michigan; Kim (Mark) d’Entremont , Wendy MacLean, Phoenix, Arizona; Laughie and Joann, Ontario. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Freddie; sisters, Murdena, Elizabeth and Irene; brothers, Dan and Willie. By request of the deceased there will be no visitation or service. A private family burial will take place in Gillis Cove Cemetery.
