MacLellan, Norma Catherine – age 75, Port Hawkesbury. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2015 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.Norma was born in Gillis Cove, Inverness Co.; she was a daughter of the late Murdock Stewart and Catherine Mary (Dasily) MacLellan.She was a cook at various restaurants in Sydney Mines. She enjoyed walking, dancing, doing crafts, playing bingo and good old Scottish music. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Anne Williams (Darren Marchand), Bridgewater; sons, Peter, Cleveland, Richmond Co.; and Norman, Hamilton, Ont.; grandchildren, Neil, Trish, John; Shaun, Tammy, Carlee; Scott, Robyn and Trent; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Gwendolyn, Avery, Audrey, Austin, Finley, Leigton and Kaleb. Norma also leaves behind to mourn her passing very close friends, Carolyn and Jack MacRae; Jack MacDonald; Annie MacInnis; James Carson. She was predeceased by her infant son, Stewart and sisters, Sarah, Patricia and Dolena. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 20 in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial in Gillis Cove Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Norma may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Gillis Cove Cemetery.
