MacLEAN, John Hector- Age 95, Orangedale, Inverness Co., passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in the Inverary Manor, Inverness. Born in Orangedale, he was a son of the late John Eddy and Catherine (MacLean) MacLean. Surviving are his sister, Johanna Repa, Hamilton, Ont; nephew, Robert King, who was raised by Hector. He is also survivied by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Donnie, Alan, Jimmy, Angus, Danny, Alexander and Eddie; sisters, Mary, Annie, Muriel, Isabelle, Elizabeth and Jessie. Hector will rest from 2-9 p.m. on Saturday in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Malagawatch Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS, Inverary Manor or to Malagawatch Cemetery Fund.
