PARKER, Gerloch - 86, Canso, died August 16, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Canso, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Clara (Grover) Fanning. She was a member of Star of the Sea Church, a choir member, a member of the Shamrock Club, and a former member of the C.W.L. Surviving are daughters, Anita (Ray) McNeil, Hamilton, Ont.; Carolyn (Bill) Quann, Canso; sons, Robert (Margaret), Newmarket, Ont.; Joe (Stella), Hazel Hill; George (Cathy), Wallace; Hughie (Elizabeth), Brampton, Ont.; Don (Laura), Hamilton, Ont.; Pat (Leah), Oromocto, N.B.; Gerry (Jelly), Terry (Marie), Perry (Marg), Brian (Carol), all of Canso; 31 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert 'Bob'; brothers, Harry and Clarence. Visitation will be held today from 2-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Star of the Sea Church, Canso, Rev. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
