MacKINNON, John Bernard - 50, Mulgrave, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Antigonish on April 23, 1954, John was the son of the late Calder and Lena Sadie (MacLean) MacKinnon. John was really creative and loved to work with his hands. Prior to his illness, he was employed as a welder and carpenter. He is survived by his wife, the former Helga H. Greencorn; daughter, Selena Faye Jamieson, Mulgrave; son, Jonathan Calder, at home; sisters, Nancy (Duncan) MacDonnell, Troy; Dorothy (Kevin) Beaton, West Bay Road; Brenda, Port Hastings. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Mulgrave, Rev. Michael Conrad officiating, assisted by Rev. David Tuck. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
