TULLAK, Joel William John 'Joel T.' - 62, We Koq'ma'q, First Nation, died peacefully at home Wednesday, January 12, 2005, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Pilik, Labrador, he was a son of the late Joel and Persida (Onalik) Tullak. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, We Koq'ma'q. He was a 'jack of all trades' and Joel would do anything for anybody, and was a devoted volunteer and a very well-known bingo caller. He is survived by his common-law wife of 10 years, Barbara Isadore; sons, Anthony (Julia), Derek and Ivan, all at home; daughter, Mary (Philip) Rideout, New Brunswick; sisters, Bertha Spurrell, Newfoundland; Sybilla (Jim) Engram, Labrador, NL; grandchildren, Zoe, Lydia Dawn and Rebecca. Joel will also be sadly missed by family and friends. Visitation for the late Joel Tullak will be Saturday after 4 p.m. at the residence of Barbara Isadore, 137 Subdivision Rd., We Koq'ma'q. Funeral mass will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com.
