MacKINNON, Allan Rufus - 60, Point Grace, Orangedale, formerly of Marble Mountain, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2005, at home. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late James P. and Jessie S. (MacDonald) MacKinnon (Marble Mountain). Rufus spent most of his life in Marble Mountain until 12 years ago when he moved to L'Arche, Cape Breton. There his life was full with work, friends, travel and much joy. Rufus is survived by brothers, Winston (Helen), Stewart, Malcolm (Karen), Donald J. and Earl; sister, Jean (Tom); nieces, Heather, Lana, and Kyla; nephews, Sean and Patrick; grandnieces, Ella and Kaitlyn. He was predeceased by brother, Gary; niece, Dawn; Visitation was held Monday. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today in L'Arche Chapel, Iron Mines, Donna Tourneur officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Rufus may be made to Ark Community Initiatives Society, L'Arche, Cape Breton, or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Words of comfort may be forward to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
