MacKINNON, Margaret Ann - 93, Port Hawkesbury, died Monday, September 26, 2005, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Port Hawkesbury on August 25, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jessie (MacIntyre) Ryan. Margaret was a homemaker, and a resident of Sunset Manor for 11 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Hawkesbury. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards. Surviving are daughters, Sarah (Ted) McNamara, Evanston; Anna Marie (Sander) MacIsaac, Port Hawkesbury; Mary Ann (William) Fox, Newtown; son, Sylvester (Edith) MacInnis, Whiteside; sisters, Ann Laffin, Elizabeth Ryan, both of New Glasgow; Sadie Dorton, Mary Embree, both of Port Hawkesbury; grandchildren, Hugh (Rose Marie) McNamara, Paul (Gloria) McNamara, Robert McNamara, Francis McNamara, Sandra MacLellan, Roddie (Debbie) MacIsaac, Marlene (Terry) Morrison, Melissa Samson, Aaron MacInnis, Shane (Wanda) Meisner, Tracy (Darren) Cummings; 17 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Hugh J. MacInnis in 1944; second husband, Dougald A. MacKinnon in 1989; two sons and two daughters in infancy; granddaughter, Colleen McGrath; sister, Pauline McNamara; half-sister, Adelia MacDonald; brothers, Dan R., Ambrose, Stephen, Wilfred, Patrick, Sylvester, Thaddeus, Leo, Anthony, Joseph. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, with a vigil service 8:30 p.m. Thursday, both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Father Hughie D. MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Angels Parish Cemetery, Glendale. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to St. Joseph's Parish or St. Mary of the Angels Cemetery. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
