June Isabell MacKinnon Obituary

MacKINNON, June Isabell-48, Port Hastings, died Friday, June 30, 2006, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Isabell (MacLean) MacKinnon. June was a member of St. David's United Church, Port Hastings, and a client of the Regional Occupational Centre for over 30 years. Surviving are sisters, Ann (Robert) Downard, Long Stretch Road; Sharon (David) Pringle, Newtown; Heather (Regeant) Deschenes, Kings Road; Anna, at home; Hazel (Gordon) MacLean, Sugar Camp; brothers, Howard (Marie), Port Hawkesbury; Allan, at home; 16 nieces and nephews; 16 grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by special grandniece, Jordan Boudreau.


Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in St. David's United Church, Rev. Wilfred Pelley officiating. Burial in St. David's Cemetery. Donations in memory of June may be made to the Regional Occupational Centre or a charity of choice.
