PARKER, Margaret Alma - 90, Canso, passed away in Seaside Manor, Canso, on Saturday, October 21, 2006. Born in Little Dover, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Odessa (Haines) Mason. Margaret was a member of the Star of the Sea Parish, Canso, the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 46, Canso, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Canso Volunteer Fire Department. She is survived by daughters, Daisy Grover (Doug), White Head; Theresa MacPhee (Howard), Sydney; Brenda Bond, Coleen Bouchie (Thomas), Gertie Grant (Roger), all of Canso; Marilyn Rossong (Edward), Eastern Passage; Rita Collins (Neil), Sydney; daughter-in-law, Joanne Parker, Canso; sons, Thomas (Doris), White Head; William "Bill" (Pauline), Dave (Rosie), Steve (Christine), John (Marg), all of Canso; Nelson, Bridgewater; sister, Gertie Snow (Douglas), Canso; 41 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Cecil J.; sons, Cecil F., Charles; grandson, Paul Parker; twin great-granddaughters, Haley and Hope Parker; seven brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Tuesday, 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass 2 p.m. Thursday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau Officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
