MacKAY, Eli Alexander "Gussie" - 63, Orangedale, Inverness Co., passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Whycocomagh Portage, Inverness Co., he was a son of the late Eli and Amy (Baker) MacKay. He was a heavy equipment operator and an adherent of Orangedale Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his ex-wife, Tina MacDonald, Sydney; sons, Brian, Calgary, Alta.; Allan, Sydney; sisters, Roseanna MacIver, South Cove; Maude (Billy) Livingstone, Orangedale; Victoria Mae Piercey, Sydney; brothers, Sandy (Betty), MacKinnon Harbour; Johnny (Clemmie) and Angus, both of Little Narrows. He was predeceased by twin dauhgters in infancy, Mary and Ann; brothers, Alfred, Murdock, Charlie, Neil Allan; sister, Eva.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Orangedale Presbyterian Church, Rev. Ken Allen officiating.
