It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Lauchie at the Henderson Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Beloved husband of Jessie and father of Heather. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Marilyn (Leo), Anne Marie (Frankie), Jaye (Cecil), Cathy (Melvin), Ian, Timmy, Neil, Willie (Leanne). Brother-in-law of Malcolm MacLean and Dena MacKinnon. He is predeceased by his parents, Neil and Tena MacKinnon, his first wife Kaye Ferguson, his sisters Archena, Mary Margaret and his brothers Neil D., D.H., and his nephew Allan. Lauchie was born in Ainslie Glen, April 26 1928. He retired from Stelco Steel in Hamilton after 33 years of service and was a member of St. John's & St. Andrew church in Hamilton. Visitation will be held at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 12 Main St. Whycocomagh, on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Whycocomagh. Interment will be held in Stewartdale Cemetery. Donations to St. Andrew’s Church in Whycocomagh, Stewartdale Cemetery or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
