It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Colin Jeffrey Kelly (19) of Orleans, Ontario on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. John Colin is survived by his parents, Kevin and Sheilagh (Livingstone) Kelly and four siblings, Brea, Siobhan, Moira and Rory. John Colin graduated from St. Peter’s Catholic High School in Orleans. He successfully completed his first year at St.F.X.University, making the Dean’s list. He had a very deep faith, which was evident in the way he lived his everyday life. He will always be remembered for his kind, caring and compassionate nature. John loved sports, especially rugby, which was highlighted by his team trip to Scotland. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. John loved music and could often be found playing his guitar. Cape Breton held a special place in his heart. He spent many memorable vacations in the Little Judique area. John Colin is survived by his maternal grandfather, Colin Livingstone, Little Judique and paternal grandparents, Mary Jane and John Kelly, Hampton, New Brunswick. John also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Livingstone and his cousin Jeffrey Graham. Visitation will take place from 2-9pm on Tuesday, December 30th in the Community Room at the Judique Fire Hall. The Funeral will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, December 31st from St. Andrew’s Parish Church in Judique, Nova Scotia with Father Aaron Knox and Father Allan Mac Millan officiating. The burial will follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Judique. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
