PARKER, Mary "Joanne"- Age 69, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Joanne was born on April 12, 1947, to the late Camille and Louise (Guthro) LeBlanc.
She was the only girl with six brothers to come to this Union. Joanne loved being with family and friends and would love to hear and tell a good joke always with a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always thinking of others first. "To know her was to love her". Joanne worked at the fish plant in Canso for over 25 years where she met a lot of life-long friends.
Joanne leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Chuck (Joan), Elmsdale; Mike (Tanya), Montague, PEI; her pride and joy granddaughter, Kelsey, Langley, BC; brothers, Rene (Leona), Whitehead; Dave (Debbie), Ontario; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charlie; brothers, Eloi, Aime and twin brothers, Donald and Joe; granddaughters, Hope and Hailey. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Monday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. A graveside service for family only will take place on Tuesday in Star of the Sea Parish Cemetery, Canso. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Joanne may be made to the Milford Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
