Knockwood, Henry Gordon -- 82, Troy, Inverness Co., passed away Thrusday May 18, 2006 at home. Born in Truro, Colchester,. he was the son of late John and Rose(Simon) Knockwood. He was a veteran of World War ll serving Canada, Britian & Northwest Europe, also recieved medal of Remeberance in relation to the Liberation of Holland. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, Port Hawkesbury. He is survied by his wife Janice (Hiltz); Daughters Quintina and Selinah both at home; Stepson Curtis, of Port Hawkesbury; sisters Rose Knockwood, and Isabel Toney Shea both of Shubenacadie; brother Noel, Upper Lawrencetown, Halifax Co. He was predeceased by brother Joseph. Henry is resting at Mary Lafford's residence,179 Central Rd. Paq'Tnkeh First Nation (Afton Reserve). A graveside service will be held at 11am Tuesday in Southbrook Cemetary, Port Hawkesbury. Donations in memory of Henry may be made to IWK Health Care Centre or Child Find. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
