KAWAJA, Myrna C. - 65, Halifax, formerly of Mulgrave, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at home. Born in Mulgrave, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (MacDonald) Kawaja. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sitting at her piano and sharing music with her family and friends. In her younger years she was an accomplished highland dancer. She is survived by daughters, Cindy (Curtis) Briand, Westmount; Vera Trinca, Calgary; Brenda (Ray) Murray, Oromocto, N.B.; Rosa Brophy, Halifax; sons, Ricky, Mulgrave; Joe, Vulcan, Alta.; Greg, Port Hawkesbury; sister, Cheryl (Dr. Al) Trinca, Chatham, Ont.; brothers, Don (Mary), Toronto; Darryl (Judy), Port Hawkesbury; George, Chatham, Ont.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Carol Marie in infancy. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 today, with a vigil service at 8:30 p.m., both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury, Father Bill Crispo officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Parish Cemetery, Mulgrave, at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Port Hawkesbury Food Bank.
