Jackson, Theresa Alice - 53, Queensport, Guysborough Co., passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of Mary (Bond) Snow, Guysborough and the late John Snow. Theresa fought a brave and courageous battle against cancer for fourteen years; she was an inspiration and was admired for her bravery, by those who shared her journey. She was a Continuing Care Assistant (PCW), she loved to quilt, do needlepoint, go four wheeling, go for a motorcycle ride, and she always enjoyed a good cup of Tetley Tea. Theresa took great pride in being a homemaker, and family was first and foremost with her. Besides her Mom, Theresa leaves to mourn her husband, Fred, daughter, Trisana, Halifax; son, Clinton, Halifax; siblings, Rose (Gerald) Fitzgerald, Guysborough; William (Pam) Snow, Burlington and Paul (Helen) Snow, Halifax; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, John Snow. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Oncology Department of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish; Dr. Anita Foley, Guysborough and all the staff at Guysborough Memorial Hospital and Palliative Care Nurse Karen Hoben also to special friends who helped in her everyday life. In keeping with Theresa’s wishes there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 26, at 11a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Queensport with Father Andrew Gillies officiating. A reception will follow the funeral at the Queensport Fire Hall. Burial will be at a later date. Family flowers only please.
