Skinner, Patricia Beatrice – 60, Sunnyville, Guysborough County, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Halifax Infirmary, QE 11, Halifax. Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Mintus) Skinner.
Patricia was well known for her hard work as a Continuing Care Assistant at R. K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish for 22 years. She was a member of Sunnyville Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Lloyd Jr. (Stephanie), Halifax; daughters, Stacey, Antigonish; Sabrina (Vaughan), Sunnyville; granddaughter Jasmine, grandson, Jackson, sisters, Shirley (late Steve), Edith (George) both of Sydney; brothers, Mark, Sunnyville; Scott, Sydney; Harry (Bernice), Sunnyville; Douglas (Darlene) , Sydney; Henry (Annabelle), Sydney; Charles, Sunnyville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lloyd "Jack", brothers, Hartley, Vernon (Mary Anne). We may have lost someone special but through her dedication of donating her organs and tissues, she helped and saved the lives of many others.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Sunnyville United Baptist Church and from where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Pauline Coffin officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
