MacNEIL, Veronica Anne – 96, Port Hastings, passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2012, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Bay St. Lawrence, Inverness Co. she was a daughter of the late John James and Mary (Capstick) Donohue. Surviving are her sons, Barry, North Bay, Ont; Blaise, Port Hastings; sister, Alice MacIntyre, Port Hastings; brother, Francis, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; brother, Joseph Donohue; sister, Mary Catherine. At Veronica’s request there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be 10a.m. Saturday, June 9, from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Father Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society, or to a charity of one’s choice.
