MacKILLOP, Andrew Angus – 77, Creignish, Inverness Co. passed away Wednesday June 20, 2012, in the Strait Richmond Hospital Evanston. Born in Creignish, he was a son of the late Angus Hugh and Helen "Nellie" (Harvey) MacKillop. Andrew was retired from the Material Handling Dept. of Stora Enso. Andrew enjoyed jogging and kept a daily journal and loved wild animals and music. Andrew was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Creignish. Surviving are his sisters, Jessie MacLean, Osgood, Ont; Florence Munden, Dartmouth; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John; sisters, Joan and Mary. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Mass will be 11am Friday, from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Creignish, with Father Hughie D. MacDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Antigonish SPCA or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
