MacISAAC, Wilfred, - Port Hawkesbury, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Kippens, NFLD, he was a son of the late Millage and Mary (AuCoin) MacIsaac.
Wilfred was employed for 29 years at Stora Enso in Point Tupper, as well as a 25 year member of the K.O.C. 7924 and a member of St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury. He enjoyed gardening, walking with his dog, Katie, as well as travelling.
Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, the former Margaret (Parrott); daughters, Debbie (Bob) Stover, Grand Prairie AB; Darlene (Todd) Karas, Calgary AB; sons, Russell (Jenny), Stoney Plain AB; Greg, Robert, both of Port Hawkesbury; Mike (Heather), Louisbourg; grandchildren, Robin, Kristy, Kathleen, Ryan, Cory, Evan, Kyle, Danielle, Nicole and Graydon; great-grandchildren, Chance, Kenzie and Laughlin; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 9 sisters.
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held 10a.m. Thursday, from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Father Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. At the request of the family no flowers, however memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Church Building Fund, or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
