MORRISON, Charles Alfred – 65, West Cook’s Cove, Guysborough Co., passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, with family by his side. Born in Guysborough, he was a son of the late Harry and Ruth Lawson (Myers) Morrison. Charles was a retired Correctional Officer. Charles served with the First Canadian Guard Armed Forces. He was a member of Wesley United Church, Guysborough and former member of Guysborough Lions Club, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 81 Guysborough and Eastern Light Lodge 72 Guysborough. Charles enjoyed boating and four wheeling. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.Surviving are several cousins and his faithful companion, Sandy. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday in Wesley United Church, Guysborough, from where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. Memorial donations may be made to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital Foundation.
