WELSH, John Stanford - 72, Canso, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in the Magdalen Islands, he was a son of the late Everett and Janie (Dixon) Welsh. John was a jack of all trades, that could do or fix anything. He enjoyed watching television, visiting family and always enjoyed reading the newspaper to catch up on all the latest news. Surviving are daughter, Joeslyn (Doug), Ont; son, Andrew, Ont; sisters, Helen Welsh, P.E.I.; Jane Welsh, Halifax; brothers, Felix (Rita) Welsh, P.E.I.; Waldren (Nettie) Welsh, Magdalen Islands; granddaughters, Margaret and Beverley; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Timothy; brothers, Irvin, Allan, Wardie and Allan; sisters, Hattie, Maude and Delsie. There will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will take place.
