MacEachern, Daniel A. "Danny" Age 62, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late John Robert and Anne Margaret (Morrison) MacEachern. Danny was employed at Stantec Engineering Ltd., Dartmouth and was also a member of the West Bay Road Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife the former Mary Lou Gillis; sister, Donna Burke (Harold), Port Hawkesbury; brother, Bobby (Marlyn Mury), West Bay Road; sister-in-law, Chris Goyetche (Brian), West Bay Marshes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly Shawn, Janine, Corinne and Sarah. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street, Dartmouth. Visitation will also take place 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville Street, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday in St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, West Bay Road, with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson, celebrant. Burial will follow in West Bay Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Dartmouth General Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
