Matheson, Muriel Marguerite - Little Narrows, Victoria Co., age 88 years. Passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Little Narrows on July 17, 1927 she was the daughter of the late John C. and Margaret (MacKenzie) Matheson. Muriel was a member of Little Narrows Presbyterian Church. She was a teacher and taught in many schools. She is survived by niece, Donna M. Matheson, sister-in-law, Christine Matheson, and good friend, Georgina C. MacLeod. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd S. Matheson and her brother, A. Gordon Matheson. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. in Middle River Cemetery with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Memorial donations in memory of Muriel may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
