SMITH (Saunders), Clara Bernice- Age 86, Port Hawkesbury passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2016, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in St. John’s, NL on February 8, 1930, she was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Smith. She is survived by her three children, Stephanie (Wayne) MacKinnon, Chesapeake, VA, USA; Jacqueline (Chris) Kennedy, Port Hawkesbury; John (Brenda MacLellan), Fall River; grandchildren, Meagan, Rebecca and Avery. Special thanks to the Nursing and Medical staff of the Milford Haven Home for Special Care for the warm, compassionate and professional care they provided over the past months. No visitation by family request. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 6 at 2 p.m. from Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville St. Port Hawkesbury.
