HINES, William Albert 'Bill' - 61, Princeville, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2004, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Ingonish, he was a son of the late Hugh and Alfretta (Hawley) Hines. He worked at the Heavy Water Plant for 18 years as a carpenter and he was also a self-employed contractor. He was a former union brother of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local No.1588. He was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Parish, West Bay Road.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Bonnie (Sampson); daughter, Laurie (Phil Marchand), Antigonish; sons, Billy Joe (Nicole), West Arichat; Johnny (Martha Matheson), Bedford; Tommy (Jill), Sackville; Jason (Jenell Peach), Port Hawkesbury; grandchildren, Emma, Kobe, Sam, Corey, Colton, Connor, Breanne, Morgan, Faith; sisters, Evelyn (Tom) Donovan, Ingonish; Wilena (Joe) Doucette, West Bay; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Norma; brothers, Melvin, Harold, Tom, Raymond and Dave.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Thursday, in St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
