HANLEY, David Brent - 36, Porters Lake, Halifax Co., formerly of Judique, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Jack and Jessie (MacInnis) Hanley, Newtown. Brent was a bricklayer and a member of International Brotherhood of Bricklayers Local 1. He was a member of St. Thomas More Church, Dartmouth. He is survived by his companion, Dorota Chalstowski; triplets, Brittany, Courtney and Dylan, all at home; sister, Erin, Whycocomagh; brother, Norman, Newtown; aunts, Janice (John) MacEachern, Troy; Annie Hanley, Port Hawkesbury; Marie (Bob) Willis, Harbourview; Rachel MacNeil, Glencoe; Margie (Roddie) MacDonald, Mabou; Loretta MacInnis, Harbourview; Marie MacInnis, Prince Edward Island; uncles, Jimmy, D.D. and Bernie (Loretta) Hanley, all of Judique; Sonny (Rose) MacInnis, Vince (Diane) MacInnis, both of Harbourview; numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Bernard Hanley, Angus and Elizabeth (Hanley) MacDonald; maternal grandparents, Sadie and Hughie MacInnis; uncles, Joe, John and Donald MacInnis; aunt, Caddy MacDougall.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Judique Men's Club. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Judique, Father Allan MacMillan officiating. Burial at a later date. Donations in memory of Brent to the Canadian Cancer Society or Palliative Care (7th Floor), QEII Health Sciences Centre.
