HARKER, Greta Mae - 78, Whycocomagh, died Sunday, February 26, 2006, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in East Lake Ainslie, Inverness Co., she was a daughter of the late Solomon and Maude (James) Wilcox. Greta was a homemaker and member of Orangedale Presbyterian Church. Surviving are daughters, Maude, Ontario; Grace, Winnipeg; Evelyn (Andy) Parland, Dartmouth; Beulah, Whycocomagh; daughter-in-law, Cathy, Ontario; sons, Frank (Fern), Ont.; Peter, Ontario (Isabel, Waycobah); sisters, Katherine Poirier, Grand Etang; Ima (Reggie) Royal, Dartmouth; Margaret MacGillivary, North Sydney; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred; daughter, Rose Marie; sons, Phillip, Ernest; sisters, Josephine Crowther, Margaret Wilcox; granddaughter, Francine Harker. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today, 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Orangedale Presbyterian Church, Rev. Ken Allen officiating. Burial in Gillis Cove Cemetery. Donations in memory of Greta may be made to Orangedale Presbyterian Church.
