HADDID, Margaret Jean - 99, Canso. Margaret passed away peacefully at her home in Canso Seaside Manor on Wednesday, April 5, 2006. Born in Tracadie, Antigonish Co., she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Rose (Jenwie) Haddid. She was a retired store clerk and a member of Star of the Sea Parish, Canso. Margaret was a resident of Canso Seaside Manor for the past 17 years, and prior to that she was a resident of Hazel Hill Rest Home and Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. She was affectionately known by the staff at the manor as 'Mother', and thoroughly enjoyed the monthly parties and spending time with visitors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by two sisters. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Parish Cemetery, Tracadie.
