Gary V. Hill Obituary

HILL, Gary V.-49, Troy, Inverness Co., formerly of Janvrin's Island, Richmond Co., died Saturday, July 1, 2006, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Arichat, he was a son of Grace (Dorey) (Hill) Pilgrim and the late Gordon M. Hill, and stepfather, Lewis Pilgrim, Port Hastings.


Gary was a mechanic employed with Midway Motors and had a passion for antique cars and motorcycles. Surviving are sister, Betty Campbell and husband Bill, Antigonish; brother, Douglas Hill and wife Brenda, Troy; nieces and nephew.


Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. David's United Church, Port Hastings, Rev. Wilfred Pelley officiating. Burial in St. David's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
