HART (Slater), Rosanna Margaret - 78 Port Shoreham, widow of Clayton Hart, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully August 31, 2006, at home with her loving family at her side. Born in Roachvale, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Roland and Nellie (Sangster) Slater. Through her lifetime, being a devoted Christian, she worked as a school teacher, cook and homemaker. She was an active member of the Boylston United Baptist Church and served on various women's committees as well as being an active patron of Boylston United Church. Rose was also involved in the community and enjoyed time with family and friends, curling, and bowling at Bayview Seniors Club. She is survived by her son, Scott (Sharon) Hart; daughters, Joy (Jacques) Matte; Florence (Findlay) Muir; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton; sisters, Eva and Christine in infancy. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, September 3, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Boylston United Church with Rev. Warren Fitzgerald officiating. Burial in Manchester Community Cemetery followed by a reception. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Rose may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch, or Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
