HALLORAN, John Francis "Johnny" – 61, Guysborough, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Guysborough, he was a son of the late Patrick Ryan and Mary Catherine (Phalen) Halloran. In his quiet way, Johnny kept in touch with his world from his chair on the veranda. We will miss his sense of humour and his dry wit. Surviving are his sisters, Doreen (Frank) Lombardo; Sara Ann (Carman) Avery; Margie Halloran (Kenny); brothers, Neil Halloran; Raymond (Nina) Halloran; 17 nieces and nephews. Johnny was predeceased by brothers, Edward, Kevin and Kenneth. There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be 11a.m. Friday, December 30, from St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Guysborough, with Father Jonathan Nweke officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. No flowers please.
