HAINES, Karen Marie – 46, Little Dover, Guysborough Co. passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born on October 14, 1965 in Canso, she was a daughter of David and Carol (Horne) Boudreau, Little Dover. She was a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover. Karen graduated from St. Martha’s School of Nursing in 1986 and worked most of her nursing career at Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Karen was highly regarded by all the patients she cared for throughout her career. Karen was a loving wife to Danny and her pride and joy were her children, Danielle and Brandon. She was a loving and caring mom who instilled in them, wonderful values and morals that will carry them through their lives. Karen was an avid reader, walker, camper and boater. She and her family and friends spent many summer days at their camp in Little Dover. Karen and her family also spent many March Break vacations and summers with her sister in Mt. Uniacke. She will be sadly missed by all and never forgotten. Besides her parents, Karen is survived by her husband, Danny; daughter, Danielle; son, Brandon; sisters, Sandra (John) Estey, Oakville Ont; Patsy (Walter) Williams, Mt. Uniacke; Wanda (Pat) Doyle, Little Dover; Jennifer (Curtis) Sampson, Little Dover; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her in-laws, Rose Haines ,Stellarton; Lorraine (Carl) Mooring, Carmen Haines, Harold (Genesta) Haines, all of Little Dover; Georgina (Gordon) Hughes , Lois (Christian) Richard, Sally Haines , all of Stellarton; Mary Jean (Frank) Rochon, Westville; Alfred Haines, Cindy (Tom) Keefe, Kay Haines, all of Antigonish; Kim (Allan) Baillie , Kingston NS. She was predeceased by her paternal and maternal grandparents, James and Blanche Boudreau and Elsworth and Mabel Horne and father-in-law, John Haines. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Thursday in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Friday from St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, with Father Angus MacGillivray officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations in Karen’s memory may be made to Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso.
