HANHAMS, Madison Elizabeth Lynn "Maddie" -6, Hazel Hill, Guysborough Co. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Madison Elizabeth Lynn "Maddie" on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at home. Maddie is survived by her mother, Crystal Snow, Hazel Hill; father, Jeff Hanhams, Whitehead; sister, Abbigail "Abby", at home. Maddie brought such joy to everyone, always smiling and laughing, mostly because of her little sister. Making noise was her favourite activity, the louder the better. The love and memories she brought to our lives will forever be with us. Maddie is also survived by maternal grandparents, Odessa Rhynold and Artie Snow, Upper Fox Island; paternal grandparents, Sharon Creamer and Norman Everett, Whitehead; maternal great-grandparents, Genesta and Wes Mosher, Fox Island; Tory Snow, New Glasgow; paternal great-grandmother, Doris Creamer. She was predeceased by her cousin, Morgan Snow; maternal great-grandparents, Doug and Liz Hart; paternal great-grandfather, Leonard Creamer. She will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from Fanning Education Center, Hazel Hill, where Maddie was a Grade 1 student. The family would like to thank all the teachers and support staff at Fanning for their extraordinary care and dedication to Maddie. Also a huge thank-you to the wonderful staff of Doctors, Nurses and Emergency Responders of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, IWK Health Sciences Center and EHS. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday from St. Paul’s United Church, Canso with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Madison’s memory to the IWK Health Sciences Center or to the family.
