MacGILLIVRAY, Lawrence - 58, Glendale, died Friday, March 11, 2005, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in North Sydney, he was a son of the late Angus and Christina (MacEachern) MacGillivray. Lawrence was a long-time employee of the Department of Highways, Ashfield. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Parish, Glendale. Lawrence was a devoted family man and an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara MacDonald; daughter, Dawna, at home; son, Angus, at home; sisters, Rose Mary (Dave) Doucet, Sydney; Catherine Anne (Alfred) LeBlanc, Glendale; Evelyn (David) Burns, Port Hawkesbury; sister-in-law, Jean Mac-Eachern, Detroit, Mich.; brothers, Donald (Mary), Glendale; Ron (Rachel), Alban, Ont.; John (Kathy), Lively, Ont.; D.J. (Catherine), Mull River; Leonard (Betty), Calgary; Francis (Mabel), Glendale; granddaughter, Isabella; 34 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Lawrence Alexander, and brother, Sam. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. this evening and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mary of the Angels Roman Catholic Church with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia or St. Mary of the Angels Cemetery Fund. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
