MEAGHER, Clinton Bernard - 57, Shore Road, Judique, formerly of Steep Creek and Port Hawkesbury, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at home. Born in Steep Creek, he was a son of the late Bernard and Dora (Parks) Meagher. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and a graduate of U.P.E.I. with a major in Political Science. Clint's life work was with Canada Customs, Port Hawkesbury. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed reading and the outdoors. Clint will always be remembered for his wit and dry humour. He struggled many years with his illness and even though we feel great sadness, we trust God has received him with open arms and for this we are grateful. Surviving are his former wife, Joan (Grady) Meagher, St. Francis Harbour; children, Michael Bernard (Kristi), Chicago; Maurice Patrick (Wendy), Halifax; Theresa Mae (Ian), Ottawa; granddaughter, Emma Timmons, Port Hawkesbury; sisters, June Nicolson, Halifax; Alda (Bill) Flannigan, Barrie, Ont.; brother, Harold 'Buzzy', Steep Creek. He was predeceased by brother, Francis. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. today in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. today in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave, Father Peter McLeod officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Hospital or Mulgrave and Area Resting Place.
