MEAGHER, Milton Alonzo – 65, Mulgrave, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Arichat, he was a son of Mary Helen (Pettipas) Meagher and the late Harold Augustine Meagher. Milton was a member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave. Besides his mother he is survived by his daughter, Denise Peebles, Enfield; sisters, Lillian, Mulgrave; Angela Kelly, Pirate Harbour; brothers, Joe (Marlene), Mulgrave; Stanley, NB; Wayne, Mulgrave; Francis, Dartmouth; Leonard, Ottawa; 3 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Annette Baker; brother, Hughie; and 3 siblings in infancy. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, in the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral Mass will be 3 p.m. Thursday from St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
