HIGGERTY, Doris - 94, Cleveland, Inverness Co. passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2012, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; daughter, Dell. Missing her always will be her children, George (Heather) Higgerty, John (Lisa) Higgerty, both of Hinton AB; Susan (Tim) Boyd, Cloverdale BC; Phyllis (Gary) Benison, Cleveland; grandchildren, T.J., Cody, Laura, Sarah, Tim Jr., Kimberly, Michelle, Robert, Terri Lynn, as well as great-grandson, Logan, will also miss her. Doris was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Words cannot express our thanks to the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home for their care and support over the 15 years that Doris was a resident there. We wish to thank all the people at the Nursing Home for their care and professionalism during this difficult time. In honouring Doris' wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in Doris' memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
