KING, John Robert, - 73, Long Point, Inverness Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Born in Long Point on November 23, 1938, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Hectrena (Chisholm) King. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Michaela; daughter-in-law, Mary Claire. John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Juanita; sons, John, Michael, Mark, all of AB; Tim (Kelly) and Jeff, both of Kitchener, Ont; grandchildren, Jacob, Madeline, Miranda, Thomas, Emma, Brayden, Login, Lauren and Scotlynn; brothers, Doug, Halifax; Terrance (Margie), Long Point; Gerald, Halifax; sisters, Alice (Hughie) MacEachern, Craigmore; Mary Agnes (Myles) Jarvis, Waverley. Visitation will be held from 7-9p.m. on Thursday, October 18, in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be 11a.m. Friday from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Creignish, with Father Hughie D. MacDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
