Sangster, Lola Ethel – Guysborough. It is with deep sadness we share the news of the passing of our "special" sister Lola at the age of 79, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Born August 19, 1937 in Cook’s Cove a daughter of the late Perry and Helen (Cook) Sangster. Lola enjoyed making quilts and aprons, keeping a diary and scrapbooks. She loved going to Wesley United Church, Guysborough and was a life member of the U.C. W. She was active in many recreation programs at the rest home. She is survived by sisters, Joyce Andrews, Gloria MacIntosh and Donna (Richard) Gerrior; nieces and nephews, David, Wayne (Donna), Daryl (Wilda), Darren, Anita (Mark), Michelle (James), Gail (Keith), Crystal (Dave), Tanya (Greg), Tammie, and Shawn (Meggan); 13 grandnieces and nephews and one great-grandnephew; also her aunt Lola Gillie, and her extended family at the Rest Home and several cousins. Lola is predeceased by her step-father, Walter Jones; brothers-in-law, Laurier Andrews and Russell MacIntosh. Special thanks to the Doctors and staff Milford Haven Home for all they did for Lola during her stay. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 6 from 12 – 1:45 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 54 Queen St., Guysborough followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough with Rev. Donna Lovelace officiating. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Lola to Wesley United Church or Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough.
