GILLIS, Margaret Anne - 83, Troy, formerly of Judique, died Sunday, February 1, 2004, in Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home.
Born in Hawthorne, Inverness Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Marcella (MacIsaac) MacMillan.
She was a homemaker and receptionist at the Port Hawkesbury Motel for 15 years. She was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Creignish, and Stella Maris Ladies Guild. She was a former member of St. Andrew's Altar Society, Judique, and Evergreen Senior Citizens Club, Port Hawkesbury.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law, she is survived by her husband, Neil; daughters, Carolyn Gillis, Troy; Linda (Ronnie) Graham, Edmonton, Alta.; sons, Dernie (Aneas), Creignish; Clarey, Christopher (Sharon Lamb), both of Windsor, Ont.; Brian (Leanne), Port Hawkesbury; sister, Mary-John Jamieson MacIsaac, Judique; sisters-in-law, Colena MacMillan, Judique; Pauline MacMillan, Judique North; Florence MacMillan, Windsor, Ont.; Annie MacMillan, Glencoe; Mary MacMillan, Windsor, Ont.; grandchildren, Duane, Bradley, Janna, Donnie, Neil, Jennifer, Jamey, Darcy and Sandy Gillis; Margaret, Katelyn Graham; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Lewis Alexander 'Sandy'; infant son, Cedric; daughter-in-law, Margie; sisters, Jessie Mae-Hector Gillis, Mary Florence in infancy; brothers, Donald Martin, Bernie, Donald Lewis, John, Joe.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Creignish, Father Hughie D. MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery, Judique.
